強みを生かし、不可能を可能に変える

Making the impossible possible by taking advantage of strengths

1990年代後期の古着ブームを背景に、色落ちを楽しむ生地として生み出された『Rudeback®』。
しかし、それを追うかのように、市場には（技術や品質の違いこそあれど）類似するコンセプトを謳った生地が出回りはじめました。
やがて、DKブランドは自然素材を生かした生地づくりのフロントランナーとして、さらに革新的な生地の開発を目指します。

生地製造において「タブー」と目されていた製法
ー　生機（キバタ）に一切の下処理をせず、ダイレクトに染め上げる　ー
そんな業界の非常識にさえ挑戦し、革新的な新シリーズ『natural dyed』を生み出すことに成功したのは、2000年代前期のことでした。

この製法を可能にするためには、そして職人たちの技術と経験はもちろん、日ごとに異なる気温・湿度・作柄の変化において、手作業で微調整を行うためのアナログな環境が必要でした。
実はその環境こそDKブランドが保有する強みでもあったのです。

こうして、不可能だと思われていたnatural dyedの製造が実現しました。

The "Rudeback®" was created as a fabric for enjoying color fading, with the vintage clothing boom of the late 1990s lying in its background.
However, fabrics based on similar concepts (albeit with different techniques and qualities) began appearing on the market as if to follow in its path.
It was not long before we set our sights on development of fabrics that are even more innovative, with the DK brand serving as the front-runners of fabric production utilizing natural materials.

In the early 2000s, we succeeded in giving birth to the innovative new "natural dyed" series by challenging industry taboos, as we implemented a manufacturing method involving directly dyeing raw cloth without any pretreatment.

In addition to the techniques and experience of our craftspeople that were needed to make this manufacturing method possible, an analog environment was also necessary to make detailed adjustments by hand to adapt to the temperature, humidity, and crops that vary by day.
In fact, this environment is indeed a strength of the DK brand.

This is how we actualized manufacturing of natural dyed, which was thought to be impossible.

イノベーションが生み出した唯一無二の表情

An unparalleled appearance born through innovation

DKブランドが初めて世に出したシリーズ『Vintage』と同様、生地を日中夜寝かせることによって少しずつ色を染めています。
しかし、natural dyedは生機（キバタ）を薬品等による下処理を行うことなく、ダイレクトに染めていきます。

そのため素材が本来がもっている表情を殺さずに、面感や風合いを出しやすくしています。ブラウスといった薄手のものに使用すると素材感が生き、風合いの良さが発揮されます。

Similarly to "Vintage," the first series that the DK brand offered to the world, we dye the fabric day and night to allow the color to seep in little by little.
However, natural dyed is dyed directly without any chemical or other pretreatment to the raw cloth.

For this reason, it is possible to express the feel and texture of the materials without destroying its natural appearance. When it is used to make blouses and other thin pieces of clothing, the characteristics of the materials are brought to life and accentuate the best parts of the texture.

    Color Belgium Linen 1/25 natural dyed

    1/25番手という太番手の糸を使用し、平織することで丈夫さとハリ感をもたせています。
    厚みのある生地に丁寧に洗いこみをかけ、生地の目を詰まらせ、ふっくらとした厚みのある生地感に。
    リネン特有のシャリ感を残しながら肌触りよく仕上げたベルギーリネン。素材の持ち味を活かしつつ、しなやかな落ち感のある独特の風合いに仕上げました。

    Plain-weaving thick yarn with a size of 1/25 provides durability and tenseness.
    Thick fabric carefully undergoes washing processing to condense the grain and produce fabric with a full, thick feeling.
    This Belgian linen is finished to have a good touch to the skin, while maintaining linen’s characteristic crispness. We created a unique supple texture that drapes well by utilizing the strong points of the materials.

    Linen wool herringbone 1/25 natural dyed

    繊細なリネンウールを、強力な薬品を使わずに時間をかけてゆっくりと仕上げました。
    リネンとウールのお互いの特徴がブレンドされたリネンウールの糸は、非常に繊細でありながらリネン本来のハリコシとふっくらとしなやかな弾力があり、上品なつやが特徴です。
    ヘリンボーンの組織に織ることにより、生地表面に凹凸感と揺らぎのある光沢感が生まれ、絶妙な表情を作り出します。

    We took our time to slowly finish fine linen wool without using powerful chemicals.
    Linen wool yarn, which blends the characteristics of linen and wool, is characteristic for its elegant gloss and has the tenseness, stiffness, and full and supple resilience of linen despite being extremely fine.
    By weaving it in a herring bone pattern, an unevenness and shimmering gloss appear in the surface of the fabric, creating an exquisite appearance.
