生地の種別について
私たちが『DK』のブランドを冠して提供する生地は、ddw®、Rudeback®などの染め技術によって独自の面感と風合いを表現した「無地染め」のほか、 遠州織物を中心とする「先染め」や「プリント」を用いて作られています。現代に流通する大量生産型の生地では決して味わうことができない、天然素材ならではの表情をぜひご覧ください。
The types of fabric that we offer under the DK brand name include plain-dyed fabrics, dyed using techniques such as "ddw®" and "Rudeback®," as well as largely Enshu Weaving-based offerings such as "Front Dyeing" and printing. We invite you to enjoy the texture of natural materials that cannot be reproduced by a machine.

ddw®
ダメージダイド＆ウォッシュ加工。生機（キバタ）の状態から特殊なダメージを生地に加え、同時に染めを施すことによって偶然出来上がる染め感と風合い。同じ表情はこの世に二つと無い、まさに神の領域といえる染めです。
A dyeing method in which raw cloth is scarred in a special way and dyed at the same time. The natural-looking dyeing and texture gives a feeling not quite like any other fabric in the world. This dyeing method could well be likened to a divine creation.

Rudeback®
「粗野に戻る」をテーマに考え出された染め方法。特殊な染料を使用することによって、生地洗いをするたびにゆっくりゆっくり色合いがフェイドして行く、自分だけのフェイド感を楽しむ加工です。
A dyeing method conceived around a theme of "returning to roughness." The use of special dyes with this technique results in hues that begin to fade bit by bit each time the fabric is washed, allowing you to enjoy a unique faded feel.

Rudeback-Half
Rudeback®で染めた生地をさらに、特殊な洗いを加えることでDKがこだわる面感を表現した加工。独自に開発したウォッシュアウト技術は、世界でも類を見ない遠州職人の魂によって生まれたものです。
A process in which fabric dyed using the Rude Back method is subjected to an additional special wash, giving it a true DK brand feel. Born from the soul of Enshu craftsmanship, there is nothing like this wash-out technique to be found anywhere else.

天然繊維に極力ダメージを与えず、たっぷりと時間をかけて染め上げて行く加工。素材が持つ独特な風合いや発色性を、そのまま美しい表現に仕上げる繊細な染め。染め職人さんの人柄から生まれました。
A process in which the fabric is slowly dyed over time so as to cause as little damage to the natural fibers as possible.This delicate dyeing technique beautifully brings out the true unique textures and colorings of the original material.The personality of the dyer shows through in the final product.

Vintage
分厚い生地をしっかり染め上げるには強力な薬品処理が必要ですが、ヴィンテージ加工はそれらを一切使用しません。ただただ時間をかけてゆっくりゆっくり染めて行きます。そこに伴った偶然の「味ある面感」が魅力です。
Thorough dyeing of thick fabrics requires the use of strong chemicals, but the Vintage process makes no use of these whatsoever.The fabric is simply dyed slowly and patiently over a long period of time.Its charm lies in its natural, pleasantly different feel.

Yarn-Dyed
世界的にも有名な「遠州先染め」細番手織物を最高級に織り上げます。仕立て後にはっきりと差がでるこの先染めこそ、我々が伝えたい生地の代表でもあります。
Enshu front-dyed fine yarn count fabrics, famous even outside of Japan, are woven to the highest standard. Our front dyeing process, with its visible difference in quality in the final product, is a true representation of what we hope to deliver to the world.

Print
プリントとはまさに「意匠」昔の言葉で「型染め」と言いました。DKが扱う型染めは、その殆どが彫刻によるもので占めており彫刻職人のセンスを表現した美しいラインを見て感じて頂ければと思います。
Printing is truly an act of design. In the past, it was known as "stencil dyeing."The majority of DK stencil-dyed products feature sculpture, and we hope you will see and feel the sense of the sculptors in their beautiful lines.
