1990年代後期から若い世代を中心に湧き起こった古着ブームは、生地の色落ちを自分流に育てようとする新たなファッション文化を生み出しました。

当時、色落ちを楽しもうとすればデニムに専売特許があるような状況でしたが、ファッションの先端をゆく人々からは「デニム以外のアイテムでも、色落ちを楽しみたい」というニーズが高まりはじめます。

それまでのテキスタイル業界では「色落ちしないこと」が価値と考えられていましたが、この頃になると「色落ちすること」が、重要な価値として求められるようになったのです。
こうして新たに生まれた「自分流に育てる文化」を背景に、私たちは生地の開発を進めました。

2000年代前期、DKブランドに新たな生地が生み出されます。
まるでデニムのような感覚で色落ちが楽しめる『Rudeback®』は、職人の技術と経験の積み重ねによって誕生した人気シリーズです。

The vintage clothing fad that sprung in the late 1990s, mainly among the younger generation, gave birth to a new fashion culture of nurturing the color fading of fabric in each person’s own style.

At the time, the conditions dictated that enjoying color fading was almost an exclusive feature of denim, but the demand for enjoying color fading with non-denim items began to grow among people on the cutting edge of fashion.

Up to that point, resistance to color fading was considered a virtue in the textile industry, but color fading began to be seen as an important value since then.
We progressed our development of fabrics with this newly born "culture of nurturing color fading in each person’s own style" in the background.

Around the early 2000s, the DK brand created a new fabric.
The “Rudeback®,” which allows you to enjoy color fading in a manner that is exactly like denim, is a popular series that was born as the culmination of the techniques and experience of our craftspeople.

洗うたびに現れる、こなれ感

A sense of harmony that surfaces with each wash

Rudeback®は藍染などにも用いられる硫化染料を使用し、繰り返し染めることで少しずつ色を浸透させていきます。

デニム生地のように、洗うことで色がフェードアウトしていくため、洗えば洗うほど「こなれ感」が出ることが最大の特徴です。

また、カラーバリエーションが豊富なため、幅広いレパートリーの中から「色落ちを育てる楽しさ」を味わうことが可能です。
パンツを始め、ジャケットやシャツといった幅広い用途に用いることができます。

The color seeps in little by little through repeating the dyeing process using sulfur dyes that are also used for indigo dyeing.

Because the color fades out with each wash like with denim fabric, its greatest characteristic is the sense of harmony that surfaces each time it is washed.

Additionally, you can select your experience of the "joy of nurturing color fading" from a wide-ranging selection, as there are an abundance of color variations.
It has a wide range of uses including jackets and shirts, as well as pants.
